Terms of use
These terms govern your use of laskumaker.fi. By using the site you accept them. The service is provided by H-Chuks, business ID 2875801-6, Oulu, Finland.
What the service does
LaskuMaker generates invoice documents as PDF files in your browser. It is a document tool. It does not send invoices, collect payments, keep your accounts or file anything with the tax authority on your behalf.
It is not tax or legal advice
The VAT rates, guidance and templates on this site are general information. They are not advice on your particular situation. You are responsible for the content of every invoice you issue, including the VAT rate you apply. If you are unsure, check vero.fi or speak to an accountant.
Your responsibilities
- Check every invoice before you send it. You know your own business details and your customer’s; we do not
- Make sure you are entitled to invoice — in Finland this normally means a registered business with a Y-tunnus
- Apply the correct VAT rate for what you are actually selling
- Keep your own records. We do not store your invoices, so we cannot recover them for you
- Do not use the service to create false or misleading documents, or for anything unlawful
What we promise, and what we do not
We work hard to keep the calculations correct — the reference number check digit, the VAT arithmetic and the bank barcode are all tested. But the service is provided free and as-is, without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee it will be available without interruption or free from errors.
To the extent permitted by Finnish law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, including lost revenue, late payments or costs arising from an incorrect invoice. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Availability and changes
This is a free service. We may change, suspend or discontinue it, and we may change these terms. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date. If we ever discontinue the free generator, we will give reasonable notice so you can export your saved settings.
Intellectual property
The site, its design and its code belong to H-Chuks. The invoices you create belong entirely to you — we claim no rights over anything you produce with the tool, and you may use them commercially without restriction or attribution.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Finnish law. Disputes will be heard by the District Court of Oulu, unless mandatory consumer protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere. As a consumer you may also refer a dispute to the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi) after first contacting the Consumer Advisory Service.
